Between the two holy cities in comfort
The road from Makkah to Madinah is about 450 km and takes around 4 hours 30 minutes by car. A private taxi picks you up at your Makkah hotel and drops you at your hotel in Madinah — no transfers to a station, no carrying luggage through crowds.
Train or private car?
The Haramain train is fast between stations, but you still need taxis at both ends and space for luggage is limited. With a private car you leave when you are ready, stop for prayer and food, and arrive at the hotel door. Families, elderly travellers and groups with many bags usually find the car simpler. Stops on the way
Ask your driver for a stop at a service area for prayer, food or rest. If you are going to Madinah first, you can also book the reverse Madinah to Makkah ride; pilgrims coming from Madinah for Umrah enter ihram at the miqat of Dhul Hulayfah (Abyar Ali), and the driver can stop there.
